Writing Decimals as Fractions

1. Write down the decimal divided by the number of places represented in the decimal . Example: 1.98

2. Multiply both top and bottom by 10 for every number after the decimal point.

3. Reduce the fraction.

Squaring Numbers That End in 5.

  • Take the first number and multiply it by the next number. Example: 7 (Multiply it by 8)
  • After getting the multiplied number, add 25 to it. Example: 7 x 8= 64 (Add 25) The final answer is 5,625.
